Private Lessons

I offer private percussion instruction for students ranging from beginners to advanced high school musicians. Lessons are tailored to each student’s experience level, goals, and musical interests, and may focus on a variety of percussion instruments and skills, including snare drum, marimba, mallet percussion, and general percussion fundamentals. My teaching emphasizes building strong technical foundations, developing musical awareness, and cultivating effective practice habits to support each student’s growth as a musician.

Lessons take place in my home percussion studio, which is equipped with instruments commonly used in band and orchestral settings, including a 5-octave marimba, snare drums, a glockenspiel, and all major accessories.

My home studio is also equipped with audio and video recording equipment, allowing students to create high-quality recordings for audition tapes, honor band submissions, and video performances.
